William Erickson is a freelance woodwind performer and private lesson teacher based in the Hampton Roads, VA area.
He is known for his direct approach to teaching, and for fostering a love of music in all of his students.
William has studied internationally and domestically, taking part in Mostly Modern Festival (Saratoga Springs, NY); Boston University Tanglewood Institute (Lenox, MA); Corsi Internazionali di Perfezionamento (Cividale del Friuli, FVG, Italy); International Clarinet Association “ClarinetFest” in Orlando, FL and Knoxville, TN.
He is an active performer and educator in the Hampton Roads area. William works with groups such as Academy of Music in Norfolk, Norfolk Academy, Bay Youth Ensembles, Virginia Wind Symphony, and Tidewater Winds.
He received a Bachelor’s degree in Clarinet Performance from The Ohio State University, after studying with Caroline Hartig.
